Who we are
This website is run by SJ Media Ltd (company number 14528344, registered in England and Wales), trading as SJ Media. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.
Registered address: 120 Icarus Avenue, Burgess Hill, West Sussex, RH15 0XX
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email us at hello@sjmediaco.co.uk.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:
- your name and email address
- your company name and website, if you give them
- what type of business you are, your rough monthly ad spend and the services you're interested in
- anything you write in your message
If you email us directly or book a call, we collect the details you share with us that way. We don't collect any other personal information through this website.
How we use it, and why
We use your information only to reply to your enquiry, arrange a call if you want one, and, if we go on to work together, to prepare a proposal. Our lawful basis under UK data protection law is that it's needed to take the steps you've asked for before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
We don't sell your information, and we won't add you to a mailing list.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted services to run this website:
- Netlify Forms, which receives contact form submissions and passes them to us
- Netlify, which hosts this website and may keep basic technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security
- our calendar booking service, if you choose to book a call through it
Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 6 months, then delete them, unless we start working together, in which case we keep what we need for as long as we work together and as required by law.
Cookies
This website doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies, and doesn't track you. If that changes, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent first.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct or delete it
- object to or restrict how we use it
- ask us to transfer it to you or someone else
To use any of these rights, email us. We'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
